Program (TBD)

Call for Papers

We solicit papers in all areas related to benchmarking, measuring, and optimizing systems.

There are four submission opportunities (and deadlines) over the course of the year: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

Papers may be submitted to any deadline and, upon acceptance, papers will be scheduled for publication in BenchCouncil Transaction on Benchmarking, Measuring, and Optimizing (TBench) and presentation at the Bench conference. The journal publication of accepted papers will appear in the issue of TBench immediately following acceptance.

Please make sure your submission satisfies ALL of the following requirements:

  • Paper must be submitted in printable PDF format.

  • Please number the pages of your submission.

  • The submission must be formatted for black-and-white printers. Please make sure your figures are readable when printed in black-and-white.

  • The submission must describe unpublished work that is not currently under review of any other conference or journal venues.

The Reviewing Process

There are three possible outcomes from the first round of submission:

Accept with Shepherding: Every accepted paper will be shepherded in order to insure that important suggestions from the reviewers are incorporated into the final version of the paper.

Major revision: The authors will receive a list of issues that are required to be addressed before the paper can be accepted. Authors may then submit a revision of the paper during one of the next two submission deadlines. The revision should include an author response to the issues raised by the reviewers as part of the appendix of the paper. The outcome after resubmission will either be “Accept with Shepherding”, or “Reject”.

Reject: If the paper is rejected it may not be resubmitted to any deadline within 6-months following the initial submission of the paper.
